A-Team theories→ Spencer Hastings & Toby Cavanaugh

• During an interview with Troian Bellisario (Spencer), she called the couple, “Rosewood’s Bonnie & Clyde.” If you don’t know who Bonnie and Clyde are they were a young couple, but they were also notorious outlaws, robbers and murderers.
• It is constantly thrown in our faces that Spencer is extremely clever, but what about all the heavy lifting A seems to be able to do with ease? When you think of a physically strong character, your mind automatically goes to Toby. 
• One of the main reasons people suspected Ezra of being A last season, was all of the book references, but both Toby and Spencer enjoy reading. There has been a highlight on reading for Toby, with Spencer bringing him a book, and him reading while in Spencer’s rooms.
• I know you’re probably thinking, but so much has happened to Toby. Like the fact he fell off of the scaffolding, but what if Toby loosened it himself? In reality only a man would know where to unhinge scaffolding. Spencer’s mom found him and rang an ambulance.
• My suspicion is that not only are they part of the A-Team, but they may be the leaders in this whole fiasco. I don’t think they were always so involved though, I think it’s only recently, there are too many little hints for it to be a coincidence.
• Aside from Jenna, it’s both Toby and Spencer who were known for hating Alison. She made Toby take the blame for blinding Jenna, resulting in him being put in reform school. 
• Now, onto the car scene with Mona. Who says this wasn’t all planned? I mean if Mona is that clever, wouldn’t she have made sure Spencer didn’t have her phone so she couldn’t video call the girls. Spencer showed the girls it was Mona, by holding up her phone which Mona was bound to notice.
• Toby brought back Dr. Sullivan, now if they had planned that Mona would be revealed as A, Dr. Sullivan was free to come home. She said her sons life was being threatened, what if it’s still being threatened? And if she doesn’t return and act as normal that threat will be brought through by Toby himself? I mean how did Toby know where she was?
• Onto the Spencer/Toby breakup of 2x17, it was awful and heartbreaking for the majority of people, but everytime we saw Spencer upset about Toby after that, she made sure it was in front of the others, etc. crying in front of Aria, wearing Toby’s shirt so Hanna would notice. She even asked Emily to break up with Toby for her, then later Emily saw her crying by the window. Wren saw Spencer crying the first time too, a coincidence or playing everyone around them? Spencer didn’t find Toby’s goodbye letter, Emily did and Aria was also there.
• Hanna asked Spencer, “Can you hack into a computer?” Even though Spencer said no, it was a reference to hacking.
• Also, we know Mike broke into some houses, but so has A. A talent Toby may or may not have picked up in reform school.
• Toby has also said, “I’ve got friends in all the wrong places.”
• Ian falling off the bell tower was a tragic incident, but good because Spencer is still here and still alive. Think back to earlier in that episode, Toby said to Spencer, “If you need anything tonight, I’ll be there for you,” they were also talking about the plan, and discussing keeping Jenna busy. We presumed it was the plan the girls had with Garrett and the videos, but what if they were talking about something else?
• Also, could Mona really have carried Ian’ body out of there quickly? No. But Toby could. It all happened at the church, which is the same place Toby was arrested. 
• Spencer is seen texting under the desk.
• Spencer was also the one who had Alison’s jacket in the back of her car, of course Aria wore it for a while, but surely she would have given it back. The person seen talking to Mona in the mental hospital was wearing this same jacket.
• Spencer was seen by Jason giving the truck to Toby.
• They were seen together in the truck by Garrett in episode 2x15.
• The tree saying Alison loves Ian, was burned in the Hastings lake house by the looks of it. A few nights before Toby was arrested, but was out soon after. What if he stayed at the lake house? He’d obviously have the ability to chop down that tree.
• When Toby returned to Rosewood after leaving, Spencer and Toby’s seemingly angry sounding conversation was overheard by Jenna.
• Another quote by Toby was, “What’s a nice way to call somebody obsessive?”
• Has anyone noticed where they hang out together, never in public, always in the truck or by that rock in the middle of nowhere, usually at night.
• A knew Spencer and Jason were related, maybe that’s why Spencer jumped in Ezra’s car, so that Aria wouldn’t go near Jason again. 
• When at homecoming, the card read, “There’s darkness in him,” as it switched to a clip of Toby and Emily.

Even if this was true, I would still fucking love them, they’re my bbys and my otp. :3
